Chapter 01 is two tees. Ink and Powder, cut boxy in heavyweight cotton. We hold no stock. You order, yours gets made, and that takes about two weeks, three if it is crossing an ocean.
There is no warehouse behind this and no second run. If a size goes, it is gone. We would rather make a small number properly than a lot of them and hope.
We make less on purpose.
Most of what a clothing brand does is guess. Guess the trend, guess the volume, print a few thousand, discount whatever is left in January. We skipped that part. Nothing gets made until someone asks for it, and once a chapter closes we do not reopen it.
That is the whole system. There is not a cleverer one underneath.
We're slow on purpose.
Trends move faster than anyone can cut cotton, so we stopped trying to keep up. Two colourways, one shape, made to still look right in three years.
Nothing is made in advance.
Your order is what starts production. That is why it takes two or three weeks instead of two days, and why there is never anything left over at the end.
One each.
One piece per person, and the run is capped. That is not a marketing tactic. It is how much we can make before the quality starts slipping.
How this actually works
Four things that are true about every piece we make.
Chapters, not seasons
A chapter is a fixed run with its own pieces and its own number. When it closes, it closes. We do not bring anything back later because it sold well.
Made after you order
Production starts once your order is in: roughly 7–10 working days to make, then 3–5 to reach you inside Malaysia or 7–14 further out. Slower than a warehouse. That is the trade.
Nothing left over
No warehouse, no clearance rail, no January sale. If we did not sell it, we did not make it. That is the whole of our sustainability claim and we would rather not dress it up.
Sent anywhere we can reach
Packed by hand and posted. What a chapter is cut from, and where, belongs to that chapter and can change. How carefully it leaves does not.
